I don't get summer frost. Milwaukee's record low is 33 but the mean minimum is 45. Many suburban or rural places have record lows below freezing (for example Waukesha), but nowhere near me gets frost in an average summer. Speagles do you get frost in summer? You have cooler summers, but I didn't think it was cool enough for frost. Its rare, but I did get frost in summers 2019 and 2020 so far yes. 2019 I dropped to 36F on June 4th with light ground frost. This year I dropped to 35F June 1st with more significant ground frost this year. It was more a joke than anything. Maybe nei in Western Mass has a higher chance of June frost than you. Probably Morningrise gets the most summer frost of anyone on here, followed by Babu . Nei, Ariete, and I are probably in the next tier below them. hard to measure ground frost as it doesn't constantly appear with lows 32-36°F. Going by lows <36°F, from 1981-2020 I got 5 days in June (so 1 out 8 years) and 4 in August (3 of those in 1982, 2 mornings of 33°F !). Counting lows at 36°F raises to t7 in June. Midwest in general seems to have warmer late springs / early summers and less prone to very cold mornings.

For Turku Artukainen, open since 2003, there have been 2 lows below 36F in summer, one in June 2004, and the other being the infamous -0.3C in June 2009 as I mentioned.

Yeah although you are much further north than I you have the extremely short nights and ocean influence to keep your temperatures up

Actually the Baltic Sea can be a two-edged sword. Many places inland in June 2009 did not see a freeze, because they had more cloud cover, as inland places often do.

That's interesting. Here our closest large body of water is lake Erie which great influences my weather as well. But comparable to Turku, the city of Erie which sits right on the lake rarely gets frosts past mid April due to the lake warming up. It keeps it more moderated year round (no hot days or frigid days, at least compared to inland)

Summer frost is extremely rare here.
June has had 6 lows <37 so like 1 in 25 years, July has had none and August has had 1 ever.

N/A but we do get 2-3 frosty mornings per year, although they're not severe.

The average year here gets 82 days with below freezing minima, and 7 days with accumulating snowfall. I don’t know where to find stats for falling snow, but still it would be much lower than the amount of frosts.
