That's actually a really nice climate. I would definitely choose it over Missouri. That one was somewhat hard to put together. I don't know if you fancy too much the 81-10 normals: Read the columns as month / pressure / hour 00 / 06 / 12 / 18 / mean / high / low / record high and year and record low and year read columns as RH 00 / 06 / 12 / 18 / mean / precipitation / max year / min year

Bumping this.... Trondheim Airport - warm months. Might have chosen colder winter months for snow cover, and using other stations would give slightly warmer July. Oslo schizofrenic - warm months except the very coldest three winter months. Oslo's warmest month had mean 22.7c but I have no data for avg high/avg low for July 1901.

Here are the extreme months for Lexington: Note that the coldest November was in 1872 before snowfall records began.

^ no picture Wildcat ? Here is the warmest and coldest months in Eureka, California. I might do a oceanic Eureka sometime, just because. Coldest Months: Terrible summers. February 1887 did not have snowfall data. tr=trace April, July, and August max is the lowest max on record. July min is the record low for July. August had 6 days record a trace of rain. September and October had their coldest and hottest days of the month on the same day. (?) Warmest months: Better but still bad. January and November max are the monthly record max. August is the wettest August on record (normally it's dry then) November and December mins are the mildest on record Somehow December 30th had a trace of snow and the 31st had a trace of snow cover. The low on the 30th was 42F/5C. Hail maybe?

Buxton's wettest months since 2009. Most of these are likely somewhat short of the all-time wettest, so it's not that impressive. All the summers months were unsurprisingly colder than average, and the winter months milder than average. Not much snow to be had.

Buxton's driest months since 2009. Most of these are likely somewhat short of the all-time driest, so it's not that impressive. All the summers months were unsurprisingly milder than average, and the winter months were actually also milder than average. Not much snow to be had.

Odd, I see it on my computer but on the phone it's just an empty square box. Let's try it on Imgur:

gothenburg's rainiest months that has temperature data
Hmm, I though I'd make this for Turku, but there is likely not a single month it could beat.

Would be interesting to know where those months are from and what year.
From Norway I can see in the warm months:
Jan is Lindesnes in 1989 Feb is Tafjord in 2014 Mars is Grimstad (Landvik) in 2012
Jun is Oslo 1889 Nov is Svinøy in 2011 Dec is Lindesnes in 2006
For the cold monhts, all summer months from Fannaråki (2068 m asl) in Norway. Also May and Sep from this mountain. Mars from Kautokeino 1899 Apr from Siccajavri near Kautokeino 1929 Oct from Siccajavri in 1992 Dec from Karasjok 1915

January cold is Kuusamo 1985, July warm is Puumala 2010. August is probably Stockholm 1846.
Here's Turku's rainiest months. Pretty lame. But it won Blöteborg in September.

Thanks! Interesting to compare with Trondheim, which is almost the same latitude, posted by me just above here in this thread. Trondheim airport mathces Reykjavik's warmest month in the 5 coldest months (Nov-Mar) of the year (except Mars - was that a very special Mars in Reykjavik?), and in the warm months there are no contest. A little surprising that we also have seen much warmer Oct months. If I have time, might try to look for a location further north along the coast which is closer to Reykjavik wrt climate. Seems Røst is a good candidate.

I found the hottest average temperature for each day of the year in Madison. This is the weatherbox that comes from the weather on those days. Cherrypick by day instead of month, 1870-present. Madison is a Mediterranean climate now. It's interesting that March and April are warmer than November and October, on average they are colder but more unstable. Winter is wetter than I expected. About 25% of winter days are missing snow data, so it's possible that it snowed once or twice more. The 3" of snow fell on a day with temperature 60/39, Christmas Eve 1889. I don't believe that it snowed 3", maybe there was a mistake. Days with snow cover: Most days had zero snow cover but not all. Jan: 4 of 18 (22%) max 10"/25cm Feb: 6 of 22 (27%) max 5"/13cm Dec: 2 of 18 (11%) max 2"/5cm
