A climate with a long plateau of temperatures during summer and winter with steep shoulder seasons, and one with a short peak in summer/winter with constantly changing averages. Here are two model climates with the same range between warmest and coldest month (totally unrealistic of course), epitomising what I mean. So do you know climates that fall at least somewhat clearly in one category? Which type of continental climates do you prefer?

Inland British Columbia fits the constant change perfect. It doesn't show as well in a weather box as in a diagram because the very sharp temperature peak id perfectly in the July/August shift, so the averages are the same. Same goes for interior Washington. Here's Osoyoos as an example.
