Do your weather preferences change whether you are in a city or in a rural area?
In cities I generally prefer cooler and cloudier weather, and in the countryside more extreme weather. Without forests, lakes etc. I don't give much credit for hot and sunny weather, I rather feel that I'm missing out something when I'm in a city during nice weather. However, warm summer nights are more important for going out whereas in rural areas I prefer clear skies for stargazing.
Luckily I'm not in a city during this heatwave

Doesnโt really make a difference to me. I guess I donโt mind rain as much if Iโm in a city as I can go indoors. Temps donโt really matter.

In rural areas Iโd prefer hotter weather as there is more trees to block the sun, and the absence of UHI makes it feel a bit cooler anyways

Completely irrelevant for me. Haven't ever even thought about this.

I'm never in a city anyways (unless you count Wagga Wagga/Albury as a city), so it doesn't matter one bit to meโas I don't really have any memorable experience of weather in a major city.

Snow fits better in a rural setting to me. In cities it snarls traffic and looks ugly when mixed with dirt.

I don't pay as much attention to weather in a city, so I guess my preference would be for drier and less extreme temperatures. Still, it was not something I ever cared about or thought about before seeing this thread. I agree with Wildcat that snow looks better in rural areas. It turns ugly very fast in a dense city. But I still want snow and it looks good in parks and other green spaces. Driving in snow in traffic is a hassle since there is a chance someone could crash into you. Snow is more common here, so people (probably) drive better than they do in Lexington and there is less chaos when it snows. With light or no traffic driving in snow is fun. (unless you have bad tires and can't stop)
