This graph is also why I'm skeptical about the 134°F reading from 1913.

Here's the OBS. Morning low today was around 105.
Yesterday's readings were a bit strange. The 128 looks weird because it was a random jump of 7f from the previous hour. Then the next hour drops back down to 125, and then goes back up to 127 at 4pm. Those fluctuations would be normal on cloudy or partly cloudy days, but they're kind of weird on a bone dry cloudless day. Despite all that, I will choose to trust the 130f reading. It is a reliable station afaik.

Something slightly hotter, if not 134, perhaps 132 should be possible in July.
A place in Tunisia also recorded 131f in 1931, seems like the area can get foehn winds but that area doesn't seem to produce the hottest world temperatures nowadays and its significantly further above average.
