The rain event shifted was a bit further east that what the latest model runs were suggesting. Still nice to get steady, light rain, even if we the tally only amounts to around 10 mm. For once the GFS was right. Yesterday's run: IRL

Just in case anyone missed this. Surely this isn't normal. I wonder how the oranges are feeling about this one

Despite having hit a low of -7C earlier this month, our nights continue to be relatively mild, with all but one night this past week being above 5C and only one night in the weekly forecast being below freezing (and that one being a mere -1C). Our highs are cooling down a little bit but no sudden plunge right now. Seems to be a pretty gradual mild descent into fall. Not bad.

Cool, cloudy and windy today, classic fall weather. The high was 57 (14 c) at midnight and most of the day was in the low 50s. There was a short period of drizzle but mostly it was dry.

33C forecast Friday and 35C Saturday! Finally something to get excited about. Lucky.
My forecast highs are only in the realm of 10'C on both of those days. For late September/early October standards, fail.

Felt strangely balmy here today. 19.8C as maximum temp for the city, and 18.8C on my PWS.

Our average high for September so far is 19.7C and exactly half the days of the month have had highs above 20C, so that's been really nice. It's not gonna last, as our highs will be mostly between 10C and 15C this week, but this has still turned out to be a perfectly decent month. And, unlike the previous two Septembers, it looks like we won't be getting any snowfall this month, so that's always a bonus

^ I thought it had to be at least 21'C to be Indian summer; maybe that's just a Wisconsin thing. Around here you also have to have a frost first before you're eligible for an Indian summer.
