City of Saskatoon just announced they'll be doing snow clearing in all residential streets in the city Normally they only clear out the major roadways, but due to the severity of the weekend's storm and the fact that so many smaller streets are still impassable without a 4x4 truck they've decided to clear out all the roads. This will take quite a while I imagine, but at least it'll be done. It's a real mess out there!

The diurnal ranges have been fun lately. Today's high was 74 F/23 C and the low was 40 F/4 C. Looks like the party is over and more typical November weather will be returning.

Oh my assumption was based on it being there a long period of time. Still very unusual to move it from the airport to a rooftop, seems non-legitimate. Latvia is Eastern Europe, enough said. Low of 5.7C and high of 9.7C at the roof of Latvian University. Sisko, in that case use some better station if available. Same high of 9C at the airport weather station, but the low is 1C. Do you have an open data system where you can download max/min temps from the airport station? Or in some other way get long time data for it?

Solid lightning display last night while it was 30C at midnight. While it slipped just to the south and there was nothing directly overhead, I still got a good view of some powerful CG action, most of this stuff was strobing half a dozen times, and dissipating in beads. This was not that lethargic lightning, this was knife edged action. Frequent aswell. I can only imagine the show south of here, Blitzortung was a solid carpet of white anywhere south of here.
Stayed up until 3am while being high while it was still warm af, then was woken at around 9.30am by a tiny but very loud high based cell. feeling stoned as shit, due to going to bed at 3am while being high while it was still warm. Threw out a few CGs nearby. One of them generated such deep booming percussion, I think it must've been a positive bolt. Base must've been atleast 15,000ft, this thing look like nothing more than a patch of altocumulus with an anvil. Clear skies all around it.
Was 30C at midnight last night, but somehow dropped to a gay 17C about 3 hours after I went to bed while being high while it was warm. It did reach the forecast 33C today, I was skeptical considering the cold front and slow warm up.

Yesterday there was a little bit of lightning here included with all the rain (1.28", a new record for the date!); the whole sky was dark and it looked almost like nighttime at 3 pm. The high was technically 66'F (19'C) yesterday, but that was at like 1 am, and most of the day was in the 40s.

There is probably no such open data system. Meteoblue has data, but they cost too much. The airport of Riga has reported -1C last night, 8C in the afternoon. Morning has looked like that:

The remnants of Eta will come near by Friday: Heavy rainfall with flash flooding in Crete, with some stations reporting up to 4" of rain yesterday alone:

After a third of November, the 24-hr mean at my closest weather station is 8.4C with avg high 9C. Trondheim AP has mean 8C and avg high 9.1C.
Florø airport (N of Bergen) has mean 9.1C (+3.4C using 61-90) and avg high 11.1C. At the outer seabord, Ytterøyane lighth has mean 10.1C
Largest departure from normal is inland in the far north (up to 7-8C above 61-90 normal), still the coldest places has mean below freezing (kautokeino -1.5C)

Wilmington hasn't been below 75°F since midnight, and at or above 70°F since 9 PM yesterday, maybe the all-time record highest minimum for November will be broken? It dropped to 60°F here thanks to calm winds:

30.7C low in Alice Springs on the morning of the 11th, only 0.6C below the November record. All we need now is the endless pool of heat in the north to translate down here...

26 stations have tied or broke their daily record highs yesterday within the eastern US.
And 68 for the 10th

Yesterday had the largest single-day rainfall tally on record in November here: 4.38", with the previous record being 3.99" from November 11th, 2009; there's lots of flash flooding further west in the state as well.

Practically no difference between night and day. Low of 4.2C and high of 5.5C in Riga. Overcast as always. Such weather can last for weeks, if not for months here. I still think it is better than -20C.

I still think it is better than -20C. Sunshine would be more common with -20C temps though. I cannot stand a lack of sun for too long. In fact, today is the first day here with some sun shining through the clouds since Monday or Tuesday.

Sunshine would be more common with -20C temps though. I cannot stand a lack of sun for too long. Yes, but days are so short here in November, December, January. Riga is at 56N, almost 57N. It is almost not worth it to have sunshine, because it lasts only for a couple of hours.
