How would you guys rate Vancouver's climate in 2019? A little background... the station for Vancouver is located at the airport which is situated adjacent to the sea; consequently this doesn't allow for a large temp spread especially during the summer where a light seabreeze can keep temps more than 10C cooler when compared with places just a few km inland. For this reason, I've also added in Abbotsford, a major city ~75km(45mi) inland from Vancouver, which generally has more spread in extreme high/low temps. Would you guys prefer Abbotsford's climate in 2019 to Vancouver? (First attachment is Vancouver, second is Abbotsford)

E. Abbotsford is worse, the slightly better summer temps donโt offset all the extra rainfall.

Vancouver for 2019 gets an automatic F for having not seen an 86+ยฐF day โ Abbotsford is better because of the warmer summers, but the extra precipitation drags the rating down โ a D/D- from me.

C Not a bad year for YVR. February was a nice month. That it was. Coldest February by average temp since 1936. No extreme cold but it was an extremely persistent chilly stretch with several snowfalls.

C+; epic February, but January and December were disgusting (seriously, 2ยฐ / 8ยฐ C and 3ยฐ / 7ยฐ C with no snow at all?! Should at least get some snowfall with such cold averages and high precip). Summers fair and pleasant, but could use with a lot more heat.
Also, Abbotsford >>>>>>> Vancouver.

C-, but wtf happened in February? Cold/dry NE flow interrupted briefly by a few periods of chilly/wet NW flow. No significant arctic outbreaks (no temps below -10C at YVR) but the cold was incredibly persistent.

Shouldn't be that surprised, plenty of winter months like that in oceanic climates. Only in some oceanic climates though - a 3C/7C day would probably be close to once every five years here That was an above average month too. December normally averages around 6C/0C in the Vancouver region.

I have the same rule! The near-complete lack of summer heat drags both climates down, and the year as a whole in both places could stand to have an extra 5'C tacked on. I'm assuming the February snow totals are boosted by one major storm! I think the edge goes to Abbotsford because of there being more warmth in the summer, but neither one is really that good.

There were lots of days with snow in February but most of it came from a five day stretch from the 10th to the 14th
