It snowed this morning in Ushuaia. Summer in Tierra del Fuego for you.
Here in Buenos Aires we had a nice thunderstorm yesterday, with an accumulation of 24 mm and finally a mostly cloudy day. Today it's sunny again with a max forecast of 29Β°C. Next days are expected to be cooler.

A deep trough will bring unsettled weather to much of W. Europe, with locally up to 10 feet of snow falling over the weekend possible in the Alps.

Yesterday's high has been 1C, today's high should be 2C. Snowless. Overcast. Typical winter weather of last years.

Some snow fell during the evening and night, but hardly anything stuck. More snow, sleet and rain expected until evening.

^^ Basically identical here, 2 cm in Bingley and a trace here in Skipton, not much when you consider how much fell but the hills will probably do well during the rest of today.
Most of our snowfalls are so marginal that a degree of background warming or whatever makes a lot of difference, I bet these exact same synoptics in the 80s would have given us 10 cm that would probably have stuck around for a good few days.

A bit milder with a low of 0.7C and a high of 3.0C in Riga. Still overcast with SE wind and dry. High over Russia is strengthening and expanding westwards.

Been dry here in Pekanbaru far this month - only 0.1mm since Dec 1
Meanwhile Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta) recorded 38mm from December 1st-4th which is already more than last month's total rainfall!
Bandung recorded 13mm in the same time period

Forecast rain/snowfall amounts with this nor'easter. Looks like nei is going to get some snow. The forecast is calling for a mix of rain and snow with perhaps about an inch of accumulation for the Poconos. I might have driven up there for a hike if there hadn't been a chance of rain mixed in, and maybe if the snow totals had been greater.

Forecast rain/snowfall amounts with this nor'easter. Looks like nei is going to get some snow. forecast for me is 2-3 inches / rather strong temperature gradient so a warming of 1Β°C won't make a big difference unless you're right on the boundary; winds should start gusting later today especially along the coast unlike boombo

I went out into the hills first thing this morning actually (no photos though), patchy snow cover above about 200 metres and maybe 20 cm at 500 metres. A bit of a dud here as expected (rain to snow to rain so no chance of accumulating) but it was the best snowfall in the hills since March 2018, so very respectable for early December.
