At 13.00 Kalmar Airport recorded 16.8'C meaning the national February record is tied and most likely broken. Umeå airport recorded 7.1'C at 13.00 and it's 8'C right now and sunny. A traffic agency station a few kilometers inland from Kalmar airport recorded 17.2'C

A vantage pro outside kalmar on a huge flat lawn, far away from any structures or non-grass surfaces, recorded a high of 17.7'C. Looking at its readings during previous months it doesn't look at all suspicious, with monthly maxes and average highs often cooler than the official airport station.

^ Philly's records for long lasting snowpack are kinda pathetic, I mean 13 days (less than two weeks) as tenth place? Short POR to be fair though.
We had a minor "cold front" push through last night so this morning's low was a bit cooler than the last few mornings, dropped to 66 F (18.9 C) and it's a very warm and humid 80 F (26.7 C) with a 68 F (20 C) dew point as of noon, heading up to 84 F (28.9 C) and mostly sunny today.

It has stayed mostly cloudy in Riga today with little sunshine. However, this is the warmest day so far and the first day above 10C/50F with a high of 11.3C in Riga. And snow cover is gone, it is 0cm on the ground in Riga, there are some traces of course, but officially we do not have snow anymore. Highs in Latvia:

Keep in mind, the Mount Holly location is outside of the core UHI area so likely wouldn't have massive stretches of snowcover within the city limits of Philadelphia.

Even 25 days seems surprisingly low as I’m pretty sure places in the UK had a snowpack from late December until early March in 1962-63. I also remember having consecutive snow cover for around 2 weeks in January & December 2010. Our only advantage over Philadelphia would be a weaker sun.

Pretty surprising though considering even Lexington, Kentucky has seen 60+ days of consecutive snow cover before (Jan - Mar 1978) and they're further south than Philly, but they also get more intense cold snaps though. DC has similar pathetic records for snow cover too.

2.4” (6 cm) more of snow fell overnight so there’s a decent coating on the ground now.
I like the lack of a consistent snowpack and I think since all the snow is new each time, light 1-2” falls still seem like a good snow. Snow is also something to get excited about here rather than something that happens every other day and just adds to the snow already there.

Interesting wind shear rn, with low-level and mid-level clouds moving in practically opposite directions.
