C; epic summers, but too dry. Winters are far too cold (especially those lethal, bone-shattering records!), but at least they're adequately snowy. Overall too extreme/continental.

D+. Winter is too cold, much too long and too wet. Summer temps are great but it’s too dry. October and November are suicide months.

C-
Summers are decent, though lows are a bit too cold, and the colder half of the year is cloudy as hell (October and November are suicidal months). At least it snows in winter, rather than endless cold rain...

D+ This is extreme and the only climate that comes close is Muş. Summer is too hot and dry. Winter has good temps but too much rain for those average temperatures. Ideally with those D/J/F average temps, it would get very little rain in winter. Fall and winter are too wet, especially fall.
Edit: D+ does not exist, change to C-

Ideally with those D/J/F average temps, it would get very little rain in winter. Fall and winter are too wet, especially fall. I believe there may be a few towns in northern Washington or Idaho which may come close as well. The reason for the relatively high D/J/F precip is short warm-ups with heavy rain that occasionally occur during winter. Otherwise the totals are also beefed up from freezing rain.

At least it snows in winter, rather than endless cold rain... Very true. I tried to make the dry warm half of the year have as much sun as possible to balance out the extremely dark N/D/J/F/M months.

I like the Mediterranean rainfall distribution and summer warmth, but those average lows are way, way too cold given where the highs are, not to mention ruining the summer feeling. The extreme heat potential is very good. Winters are nuts - even colder than here in Wisconsin - but I like the fact of winter being the wet season, let alone as wet/snowy as it is - lots of interest factor in the colder half of the year! At the same time, given all the negatives I have to give this a D+.

The reason for the coolish lows during summer is because I based it off inland/mountain west climates with hot days and chilly nights.

I understand where you're coming from, and I'm not trying to start an argument with you especially considering you seem like a good guy, but I feel like if it's 34'C during the day, and then it drops off to 13'C at night, now the feeling of summer is effectively ruined. When I hear the word "summer", I think of warm temperatures and not distinctly cool ones, but that's just me. I will say your climate is one of the more interesting climates I've seen around here, though.

B or B-
Everything is great except the summer days are too hot and it's too dry. But, I would probably live there rather than here.

D+ Precipitation is way too unevenly distributed, and the summer diurnal range is too high. October-April is too cold, and nights are too cold year-round, while summer days are too hot. Record lows are too cold. I like that it gets a lot of snow, but it does get a bit more than I'd prefer. Winter is too cloudy, and the problems with October and November have already been discussed by other posters.
