As I thought I'd make a thread rating Rome's warmest, coldest, driest and wettest months on record; I was too lazy to add the number of precipitation days, though for example November 2014 had over half of the total monthly rainfall on the 6th. Do you prefer the consistent heat of the warmest months, such as August 2003? Or the coldest months for the snow, like January 1981 or the lack of heat in summer? Or the heavy rain of the wettest months? Or the aridity of the driest months? Here they are:
As for myself, I choose the warm version, since all 3 summer months have recorded an average high above 90°F, and that it is not excessively dry.
