Finally got around to making a weatherbox for what Tucson would have looked like during the ice age. I got the means and precip totals from a model nei found on this thread cdweather.boards.net/thread/2272/climate-ice-age . This climate has cool, snowy winters with a prolonged spring dry season and hot summers that also have a weak monsoon. Overall a massive improvement over modern day Tucson and a pretty good climate in my opinion

B- The current Tucson climate is much better; the snow amounts look unrealistically high though. I used Flagstaff and Summerhaven as references for the snowfall.

AJ1013 other than the summer highs, the temperatures seem rather reminiscent of your dream climate. A bit chilly and dry for me though, so C.

B, maybe a B+. July to March are really good, just too stable. Spring is what loses the A, itโs too hot and dry, especially May.

B
Sunnier than ideal but decent temperatures and good snowfall.

Aโ: Excellent winter averages and legendary snowfall ratio; but records are far too extreme, and too sunny. Summers are largely without flaw. Adequate precip pattern; but unfortunately, spring is far too dry.

Wow, this is way better than current Tucson. Still a bit hot. I like that almost all the winter precipitation is snow. C+

Would summers have been that warm though?
I would guess average highs would be closer to 30C, with max average lows 13-14C. Just a hunch.

Actually not bad. B. Mins are too cold overall, especially record mins. But it's an ice age, what can you do lol
Summer averages are beautiful!

C. Summers are hot, winters have high ranges, and some of the months are incredibly dry.

E. Way too cold and snowy in the winter.

B, ideally would have warmer winter highs and summer lows, but the high sunshine takes the edge off the cool temps.

B-/C+; a decent climate, but it's too warm for too long, don't want 80 F (or near it) average highs in both May and September. Snowfall and records are solid though, and summers have fantastic temps but need more rainfall.

Temp wise, looks similar to Moab. I gave it a C.

Grade D-. The weather between September to April looks acceptable though.
