No they aren't. Nowhere in the southeastern US has "ridiculously low" average lows. Yes they do, the southern states in the US get stronger and more frequent cold snaps than here. The southern states in the US are warmer on average than your climate, and get stronger and more frequent warm spells than anywhere in the UK is at all capable of. This is fucking obvious. The discussion wasn't "cold snaps". The jealousy of Brits at the US's climate is so cringey, all the British people on this board are so desperate to make out that the southern US is colder or less subtropical than Britain. LMAO - it's utterly fucking deranged. And it doesn't get "more frequent cold snaps", certainly none that are significant - ie, in the 1980s.

Where are the "Brits" on this forum trying to make out that the southern US is overall colder or less subtropical than Britain? What a strawman argument. I'm a so called "Brit" and don't think that at all LMAO nor do most Brits, and nor does irlinit. Stating that somewhere gets stronger cold snaps isn't the same as him saying that Britain is subtropical and the southern US isn't LMAO. Nor does it indicate that everyone is "anti-american" like you keep going on about here or on City-Data. Anyway, I know full well what kind of climate the UK has, yeah its cloudy, has a lot of rain and is far cooler than the US south obviously. Anyone who doesn't think that is clearly deluded. I personally don't mind that though, I like the climate here and wouldn't want to live in the USA. Nothing to do with being "anti American" though - I love lots of US culture. But I'm happy living where I do. Honestly, most of this that you keep going on about is literally all in your own head. Please give me actual examples of these people: all the British people on this board are so desperate to make out that the southern US is colder or less subtropical than Britain.
That's just pure made up horse shit. Which members on this board? Someone saying the southern US can get a colder record low temp has nothing to do with the argument you claim ALL "British" people are making here, let alone then calling people "deranged". Seems you're looking for fights like you do on CD bringing up years old posts from people who are no longer even there and replying to them. Also seems (from reading other posts of your alter accounts on CD) that you are more Anti-british, than anyone is anti-american. By the way, some of these "Brits" on City-Data who like winding you up aren't even "Brits" - the people coming on with different usernames are from somewhere else, not the UK, and just coming on to troll you.

Maybe it’s too much time spent on City-Data and Palmtalk, but, like every other forum and thread somehow linked to nationality or weather, there is a very obvious obsessive scrutinization of the US and it’s climates for slandering (TEXAS IS A CLIMATE FAIL, THE US SOUTH IS A FREEZING HELLHOLE, YOU CANT GROW PALM TREES IN BROWNSVILLE BUT YOU CAN IN LONDON, SWEDEN HAS THE SAME CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT AS OKLAHOMA, THE UK IS MORE SUBTROPICAL THAN THE CAROLINAS). And other users will jump into every single climate battle thread with an American location to shout “THE AMERICAN LOCATION IS TOO COLD” because of a record low temp, even if it has similar or warmer average lows, daily means, average highs, mean maximums, AND record highs. It’s hilarious! So much absurd attention is given to these record temperatures for the US locations, because it flatters Irlinit and other psychotic City-Data users that their climate is a “subtropical paradise”, always at the expense of - you guessed it - the US, which is obviously a stupid country with no sidewalks and frigid weather all throughout. Lmao.

You take the nationality angle of this post way too hard. Maybe it’s too much time spent on City-Data and Palmtalk, but, like every other forum somehow linked to nationality, there is a very obvious obsessive scrutinization of the US and it’s climates for slandering (TEXAS IS A CLIMATE FAIL, THE US SOUTH IS A FREEZING HELLHOLE, YOU CANT GROW PALM TREES IN BROWNSVILLE BUT YOU CAN IN LONDON, SWEDEN HAS THE SAME CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENT AS OKLAHOMA, THE UK IS MORE SUBTROPICAL THAN THE CAROLINAS). Lmao. I barely use "the" CD forum any more save to post a daily weather summary, gotta say I'm bored of that place, and when people like Easthome are the only British representatives posting twaddle on there, I might see what you mean, but it's not representative of any Brits on this website on here that's for sure. I think most sane British posters are well aware that this climate is well far away from a subtropical paradise lmao. And as for palm talk, don't use that myself, but I've heard of one or two weird members who exaggerate the benefits of the UK climate. You'll find on this particular forum though people are a bit less ignorant/more knowledgeable about climates than that. Record temps don't matter so much to me personally, given also that I'm not that interested in growing stuff. Some people do make an overly big deal about them I'll agree on that.

Obviously the US South is much warmer than the UK, I never said otherwise. I said that much of the US South has very low record lows which is factually correct.
