making a separate thread for my White Mountains trips this year. Since they're no longer recent and I have a lot of photos, thought they deserve their own thread. First post: Presidential Traverse, well known hike in the Northeast that involving going over the entire Presidential Range. 20 miles, 8800 feet elevation gain over some very rough terrain. Hiked all of it but not at once. Thought it'd be tough to do all in one day especially without someone to help me pace myself. I did a hike in early July with a similar distance, a bit less elevation gain and even rougher terrain (https://cdweather.boards.net/post/133499) and didn't finish till almost 10 pm. Also this hike was one-way so need to do it with someone else who drove up separately. Did the Presidential Traverse on Aug 15, started at 6:10 am ended 14 hours later. Made it above treeline around 9 am on the slopes of Mount Madison with lots of fog looking back at Madison and Adams where I was before wall of fog getting towards to Washington looking down the Great Gulf, which I climbed in early July towards Monroe back in the woods

Beautiful photos nei! It's neat to see cumuliform clouds at altitude from the mountains.

Huntington Ravine on the east side. hope these aren't a duplicate Speagles84snow beneath the rocks (this is July 5) up a boulder field only small buds ravine headwall up. perhaps the most intense scramble on any hiking trail in the Northeast; except for maybe an Adirondack slide trail more of the scramble didn't go to the summit, but an above treeline trail that went through an almost done wildflower field old snow patch rain clouds approaching; just missed me sunset
