Two climates with very similar names. Hays Gays or Hay Gays? I think I'll go with Hays - better for most of the year. Hay, NSW just set a new heat record today - their November heat record is now 45.5ºC, not 44.9ºC.

Hays, Kansas for being wetter and cooler overall. Hay has better summer temps, but probably fewer storms since it's much drier. Hays wins the rest of the year but it's drier and warmer than ideal.

Hays Kansas for the storms , however wow! The record highs are very similar month by month for the two locations .

Both have some really ugly summer averages but I will got with Hays, KS since there is more precipitation and at least you get some cooler weather in the winter/fall. Neither climate is ideal though.

Hay, NSW; chiefly due to the vastly superior summers, and also the fact that winter mins are wayyyy too extreme in Hays Kansas. Hay NSW has the far superior precip pattern.

Hays, KS. That's an epic climate, would be an A+ with a lot more snow and slightly in late spring and fall.

Hays, KS.
I was there when it was in the 80s in March which was weird, especially since it was in the 30s in Wyoming the day before.

In terms of temperatures alone, Hay, NSW wins, being warmer most of the year, though those summer lows have some room for improvement. The NSW one also has higher record lows in every month, very much a good thing. Both climates are simply too dry, though.

I'll go with Hays, KS. Looks like there's a bit more variety there. Hay, NSW looks more comfortable but not enough of a difference to put it over the edge for me.

Hays, KS is better by literally every metric.
Hay NSW is a D-, Hays, KS is a B-

Those Hay, NSW figures are from the old Miller St site which was closed 10th Jan 2015. The newer AWS site at the Airport opened in 2007. The map with the spot marked 1 shows the original site, the spot marked 2 is the Airport AWS. AWS stats 2007-2022
