Wet season ramping up in Eastmann? Yeah, thunderstorms start to become very regular as we go into May, and the wet season lasts til September. It isn't the most exciting climate otherwise. Might start doing forecasts for other New Florida cities as well.

15-day forecast for Winter Haven Synopsis: Forecast starting off very warm and humid, with near record highs and record high lows, but with very unstable air continuing in the region, bringing more severe storms and major flooding due to snowmelt. Overall a slightly below average month. The first 2 weeks were wildly variable with several days in the 80s and 2 snow events. The second half was a bit more settled but featured some unusual cold, rainy days. There were few average days with 9 days failing to reach 50 and 6 days anove 80.
There were 3 50+ diurnal ranges on the 2nd, 12th, and 17th but also sub-10 diurnal ranges on the 20th and 21st.

Significant snowmelt/compctification will begin this week and continue well into June before it melts completely. Current snowdepth stands at 231 cm. Flooding galore. 5/1: 17/-10 sunny 5/2: 20/-8 blustery 5/3: 21/-7 sunny 5/4: 22/2 pcldy 5/5: 33/10 snow 14cm 5/6: 16/0 snow 4cm then blustery 5/7: 28/4 pcldy Averages this week are 25/-1 F. April averaged 5/-20 F; compare to the normal which is 4/-23 F.
