Crunch41 that kind of reminds me of 2009 up here, with the flat weak summer and the sad October in particular. Your dream climate gets several times the snowfall though, especially that December - nice! Looks like your dream climate's winters have a lot of "stay inside and play video games" type weather.

All forecasts I post from now onwards will be for my revised fictional dream climate, and I won't reveal its name until I complete the 1991-2020 normals, and I'll resume posting observations once I complete normals for up to June. Synopsis: High pressure will build in from the north through tonight. A weak area of low pressure will move in, with warm-air advection Tuesday. Another frontal system will impact the area late in the week. NEAR TERM /Through Today/... As of 10 AM Mon...No big changes with am update. Highs range from low 50s offshore to high 50s S and W zones. Prev discussion...As of 6:00 AM Monday...High pressure will ridge into the area from the north today, then continue to influence the weather tonight while moving offshore. The high will produce dry weather through tonight. Subsidence continues but patchy stratocumulus have formed overnight and will likely persist with diurnal heating though coverage will be limited with mostly sunny skies expected. Winds will be 5-10 mph from North. && .SHORT TERM /Tonight/... As of 6:00 AM Monday...High pressure will continue to influence the area tonight with increasing and thickening high clouds as weak low pressure approaches the coast late. && .LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/... As of 3:45 AM Monday...An active pattern will persist through the long term as a series of systems pushes across the area. Tuesday through Wednesday...A subtle mid-level shortwave pushes through the area Tuesday with a low pressure area lifting along the coast. Upper level support is limited and soundings show very dry air above the 900 mbar level so rain is not expected with this system. Southwesterly flow will bring a warm up with highs expected in the high 60's to low 70s, and daytime surface-level dew points in the low to mid 40's. A weak cold front will push through the area Tuesday evening with high pressure building in from the north through Wednesday. Dry conditions expected Tuesday night through Wednesday but scattered showers will be approaching from the south as the next system approaches the area. Cooler Wednesday with NE winds holding the coastal regions in the mid 50s with high across the southern tier expected in the low 60s. Any precipitation chances with this system will hold off until after 00Z Wed. With temps forecast to remain well above freezing, no P-type issues are expected. Wednesday night through Friday...High pressure slides offshore late Wednesday with moisture increasing across the area as a weak low pressure area lifts along the coast late Wednesday night into Thursday. Upper level support is expected to remain limited through much of Thursday and mainly light precip is expected, will limit to chance PoPs. A cold front will push through the area late Thursday behind the departing low, then a stronger mid-level shortwave moves across the area Thursday night with better upper level support with the right entrance region of the upper jet moving over the region and could see around a quarter to half an inch of rain across the region. Lingering showers may continue into Friday morning but expect a drying trend as shortwave energy moves offshore and high pressure ridges in from the north. High temps Thursday are a bit tricky and will depend on the track of the low and generally followed closely to NBM guidance. Saturday through Sunday...Unsettled weather is expected to continue into the weekend as yet another low is expected to lift along the coast ahead of a mid-level shortwave pushing across the area. Temps expected to be below normal over the weekend but guidance is keeping P-type as rain.
