What a rollercoaster year that was, I remember it like yesterday how it felt 35 miles to the east It pretty much featured everything and was highly irregular. August averages 25.8C while the absolute max of the year was 29.2C, while October had a beneath 7C avg high which is insanely lower than normal and more akin to Siberia! B- for me. That summer was gorgeous and the cold months I remember as quite manageable. August was an A++++ month and that saves the B- What do you think about this crazy nutcase year?

Very reminiscent of the PNW climates in that after August there's an incredibly steep temperature drop, and after December, there's a very steady increase in temperature until it's August again. C+.

D. Crap year.
Helsinki A had its coldest October on record and the all-time October record low. The mean temp was 0.6!

D. Crap year. Helsinki A had its coldest October on record and the all-time October record low. The mean temp was 0.6! Did the August heat stay on this side too? Just for the record, in July it hit high 31C in Nyköping that year, but I remember there were thunderstorms circling and Norrköping must've gotten a dose of that in afternoon, because I clearly remember the temp inland at Sibro said 32C on the car display while going home. Then it was 32C at the Eastern high street but dropped to 31C as soon as one left the small UHI.

"It was the best of times. And it was the worst of times" What did even cause the bone-chilling Nordic October that year? Must've been perpetual north-easterly air flow that was unimpeded. Very strange that considering sea temps were so high at the end of August that no counter-airflows were fighting off that cold.

This is an ideal B climate. Only if Norrköping was always like this.

E. Too cold and presumably snowy that year.
