How would you rate the climate of Fitzroy Crossing? All but 2 months have seen 100°F highs, and sees plenty of thunderstorms during the monsoon season, with its "winters" being cool enough to feel distinct from the summer.

I saw "WA" and expected it to be cold and crappy (it also stands for the state of Washington), but this is actually a C. Winters look great in terms of temperatures, though I'd like winter highs a little cooler than that, and I'd prefer the opposite precipitation pattern. That spring heat is a bit intense! Record highs are very good and record lows are good too - nothing below 60'F from Dec through Feb, no possibility for cold gay crap in summer!

F+. Much too hot year round but at least gets some exciting heat and storms.
It’s embarrassing that a hot tropical climate at 18 S warms up more from NH January-March than Shitchester, a continental climate at 43 N.

B. A bit dry for my taste and a bit hot in the later months of the year, but otherwise a very good climate.

This is legitimately good for a tropical climate (actually dry heat and not humid crap, excellent thunderstorms, capable of getting a bit chilly at nighttime in the "winter" as well), but it's still a tropical climate. D-

D–; possibly the best tropical climate on Earth!
Love the combination of extreme heat and high storm activity—nowhere in the US can even come close.

E+ Wrong! It's actually humid heat, which makes it even more epic considering the extreme temperatures, with some of the highest-quality storms on Earth. Again—something that nowhere in the US can even remotely compete against.

Average afternoon dew points are 69°F in February, so it's rather muggy during the wet season, though for the most part it gets dry heat for the most of the year: www.bom.gov.au/climate/averages/tables/cw_003006_All.shtml

Doth thou readeth properly? Jan and Feb RH (9 AM): 60 and 66% Jan and Feb RH (3 PM): 40 and 48% That's pretty far king muggy in combination with such high average temps!

I didn't imply that you were comparing FC to the Persian Gulf, though Laredo has fairly similar temperatures/dew points in the summer months to FC's wet Jan/Feb, albeit with only a third as much precipitation.

D–; possibly the best tropical climate on Earth! Love the combination of extreme heat and high storm activity—nowhere in the US can even come close. Trust me.....lol.....it would be right up there with some of the worst tropical climates in the world. I have worked in nearby mines and passed through the region on many occasions. Anytime the Boss told us, "OK lads, we're off to Cadjebut for a Shutdown....", well there was a distinct shuffling of feet, eyes downcast, and a run of excuses as to why one couldn't go ! A fair dinkum full on tropical heat hell hole with absolutely no redeeming features ( except for the odd decent storm and the 10 yearly monsoonal flooding ) I would buy the Boss beer, as a bribe, to get on night shift just to escape the heat, even then the airconditioners in the camp dongas ( rooms ) struggled to even moderately cool the rooms so it was hard to sleep during the heat of the day. Then nightshift in July you had to wear winter 'blueys' jackets to ward off the cold......

What do you find so wrong about my statement? Tropical latitudes in Central America, indeed, lack any real heat when compared to similar parallels in AU.

What’s Central America got to do with the US? Say what you mean. Maybe because Central America, you know…matches the fucking latitude of Fitzroy Crossing? SE US is even cooler, so really, I'm only doing you a favour. Be grateful 👍🏻
