It's that time of year again! Moron said he was going to make this thread this year, but I beat him to it, so nyah. Around here, it looks like we'll be getting an arctic blast this coming Thursday and Friday, knocking temperatures to colder-than-average levels for Santa's arrival to Wisconsin. Friday's forecast high and low are 19'F (-7'C) and 12'F (-11'C) respectively with partly cloudy skies. New Year's is beyond the 10-day forecast period provided by WBAY's website as of right now, but the GFS seems to indicate steady temperatures in the 20s Fahrenheit on New Year's Day itself - which, being 2021, is technically the beginning of another new decade!

Christmas Eve: 49/28 and rain Christmas Day: 31/19 and snow
Depends on the timing of the front but it looks like the rain will change to snow in the early morning on Christmas.
Back home in Fort Collins, the forecast is for 44/23 on Christmas Eve and 52/25 on Christmas, both with sun.

12/25: 49/23f (10/-5c). Rain. Possibility of changing over to snow as the cold front passes thru.
Edit: Today (12/23), the forecast has now changed to 60/28f (15/-2c) with all rain and gale force winds. No more possibility of snow. Just perfect

Christmas Eve: high of -4C / low of -11C, sunny Christmas Day: high of -5C / low of -15C, a mix of sun and clouds
Very mild for us, over 5C above average. Too early for the New Year's forecast.

White Christmas is near guaranteed, still have 9" snow depth with a storm coming tomorrow and rain/snow changing to all snow Christmas eve. ABSOLUTELY FRIGID on Christmas Day.

Santa (White Christmas) vs. The Grinch (Green Christmas): Who will win in Toronto? 0cm of snow right now on the ground until Dec 24, where a storm will start as rain and then transition to snow overnight. This is the closest contest I've ever seen. It really all depends on when the transition happens on the night of Christmas Eve. Many years in the past, it was white leading up to Christmas but all the snow would melt because of a warmup Dec 21-24 which seems to happen every year in Southern Ontario. Maybe a role reversal this year?

Crap at home, much better in the nearby mountains.

A very close call. It will get colder and the dry weather is leaving, so there is a chance of something white on the ground just in time for Christmas But if I drive 14 minutes up in the city hills (Bymarka), I will certainly get the a White Christmas - this is Elgsethytta (ca 400 m ASL).

NWS has consistently moved the front earlier. Now theyβre forecasting the changeover to happen as early as 9 PM Christmas Eve.
Thatβs about 8 hours earlier than forecast a view days ago.
Christmas eve looks like an absolute shitfest with temps around 50 and over 1β of rain forecast but Christmas should be decent with 20s and several inches of snow.

^ Same here, the front is forecast to move faster than a couple of days ago, NWS is now forecasting temperatures to drop to 40Β°F by sunrise on Christmas. Christmas Eve is now forecast 1.2" of rain from frontal t-storms, with the bulk of the rainfall occurring from 7 PM-1 AM.

Looks decently cool here for Christmas Eve/Christmas. Of the past 5 years, all were warmer than normal except for 2017.

Very cold, very grey, albeit with a 50/50 chance of snow next week by the looks of it. Might go walking in the hills next week, high likelihood of snow there.

It's supposed to be warm and rainy on Christmas Eve with possible thunderstorms. Then a cold front is supposed to come thru in the evening, and the rain might change over to snow. Christmas is forecast to be cold and sunny, and could be the coldest Christmas Day since 2004. But I doubt we'll see any snow accumulations on Christmas Eve night. Perth: Christmas eve: 39/22- sunny Christmas day: 35/21- mostly sunny Boxing day: 33/19- mostly sunny Wiluna Christmas eve: 38/21- sunny Christmas day: 40/24- sunny Boxing day: 41/26- mostly sunny Those would be nice Christmas temperatures if they were in Fahrenheit.
