Here’s one I made a while back for NYC (2015): Sable Island 43N isolated to the North East the same year It lacked some August data for a few days but that place is ultra-consistent throughout August so nothing major got lost I believe! Still a sizeable maritime moderation in February there!

Enschede in 2010 - a very rare humid continental year in the Dutch interior, even by Köppen's drunk standards Looks like an Ariete year just like Hamburg that year.

Córdoba 1994 - the hottest summer month ever recorded in Europe?

Tórshavn in 2014. What a farce that is for "warmest year ever" and the year the tropics hit the midnight sun

Wow, a record high for 18.2C in Torshavn... Lerwick on the Shetlands also just had a record high of 18.3C that year, also in July 2014.
357 km due east of Lerwick, Bergen had record high 31.4C that July. We had 31.3C here.

Now for 1878 -12th warmest March -record warmest April -8th warmest July average low -12th warmest year by average low -2nd wettest year -record wettest January -record wettest December -4th wettest February -6th wettest November -9th wettest March Also, very defined mediterranean precipitation pattern. Interesing year, but not one I'd want to experience.

This thread is so much fun! Yep, I've learned a lot about how quirky some climates can be as well, and that 2008 in Santa Maria has to be one of the quirkiest

One more 2010, but it's maybe the best one: The Jan high is the lowest Jan record high ever, the May record low the highest May record low ever, July and August highs / record highs are all-time records as well.

Most would also take Helsinki 2008 instead of Moscow:

Still one of my favorite years weatherwise ever, 1936 at that location steelernation posted from ND is probably my all-time favorite. My only gripes with this is - April and November too warm. Feb and Dec about 5 C too warm - June too cool, summer too dry, August slightly too cool Otherwise fantastic. Probably a borderline A-/B+

Moscow's August 2010 got fucked up with a freak cold snap late in the month:

Whoa, a 3.2 C low on August 31st is quite the cold snap. That's actually an acceptable August then, a cold snap at the end of August right on the brink of autumn doesn't bother me that much.

Here's 1906: •2 winter months reached 70 (21 C)!! •2nd highest January temp on record •2nd highest February temp on record •9th warmest January •10th warmest September Major seasonal lag with the coldest average high in March, August being the warmest month and a very warm September.

2008 climate in westernmost station of Estonia. Is that seasonal lag? October warmer than May, winter mild, summer's highs low.

To commemorate Eureka's 30.6C all-time record high on 26 October 1993, to the day 24 years ago, this is 1993 there That really came out of the blue as seen below: also there was a high above 27C the day afterwards. So late as well, especially on that latitude (similar to NYC) to record such a temp. Those two days are the only times ever that Giorbanguly would've loved to stayed at the same latitude but flipped coasts lol
