I’ll do Colorado
High: 108 f (42.2 c) at La Junta on September (!) 6th
Low: -50 f (-45.6 c) at Antero Reservoir on December 30th
Highest low: 76 f (24.4 c) at La Junta on June 6th
Lowest high: -2 f (-18.9 c) at Antero Reservoir on December 31st and Ruxton Park on February 5th

I'm pretty confident about the max, but not the min as I'm not sure where to get the data from:
-14.4°C/6°F @ Mouthe (must be rare not to go below 0°F over a whole fucking year there)
41.9°C/107°F @ Socoa
This must be close to it for Météo France stations; some amateur stations must've dropped much lower. What's unusual here is that the max is from a coastal place in the Basque Country. This must be a first!

Out of the official network of Argentina:
Highest: 46.5°C in Rivadavia, Salta province Lowest: -21.8°C in Río Turbio, Santa Cruz province
I’m highly suspicious about the quality of that Rivadavia reading, but right now too lazy to check out the next highest value, probably 45 and something. On the other hand, it’s a pity that there isn’t any official stations from high altitude spots that can routinely dip below -30°C. |
