Battle of PA's largest cities! Which do you prefer?
Pittsburgh is a good bit colder, snowier, cloudier, and stormier whereas Philadelphia is more humid and sticky in summer, warmer, and more prone to coastal storms.

Philadelphia for being warmer in all seasons, in addition to a higher overall precipitation total.

Those dewpoints are outdated . Add 2 degrees to get the actual average . Those are from 1961-1990! I choose Philly

Philly. Temps are much better and thereโs a lot fewer rain days. And Pittsburgh doesnโt get enough snow for that to offset the other issues.

Philly is superior in every way except maybe thunderstorms.

Philadelphia for being warmer in all seasons, in addition to a higher overall precipitation total. Sort of pathetic considering Pittsburgh averages over a monthโs worth more precip days. Must be a lot of drizzle there.

Philly is superior in every way except maybe thunderstorms. Pittsburgh gets significantly more and stronger thunderstorms than Philadelphia - unless you consider the very rare tropical threat for Philly.

Pittsburgh
They both get nasty extreme cold either way, so might as well go for the much snoiwer one.

Pittsburgh and quite easily. Philly is practically the same exact climate as Northern VA, which I found to be boring and too warm. Pittsburgh gets better storms despite the lesser heat, and nearly twice the snowfall. Easy choice for me.

Pittsburgh. I like a relaxing hike in the secluded wilderness, and there is a lot of that in western PA. Also, the night views in summer and fall are spectacular: photos.app.goo.gl/k9WhMXjs9xk9xPea7Its also quite obvious to tell when the Steelers are winning, the roars echo through the valley .

I believe you are supposed to choose your preferred climate, not which city has the loudest roar of sports fans. Philly, warmer and better sunshine.

Pittsburgh, more balanced seasons imo. Didn't know it got better storms, but that only makes the choice easier.
