Here we have Eucla and Wydham in Western Australia, both at almost the same longitude (128E) but with a great latitudinal difference (15*28' vs 31*40'). It's a hard choice for me but Wyndham looks more interesting despite the heat.

Wyndham.
Its summer is more than 1 month long. Eucla's summers are pitiful for the latitude and elevation.

Eucla. Summer seems pretty interesting there.

Wyndham lmao. Eucla is another boring ass cool southern Australian coastal submild shit with random 2 day bursts of heat. The question really is, epic heat and storms vs submild stratocrapulus.

Damn this is a tough one. Both shithouse climates, Eucla has more pleasant temps, Wyndham has more precipitation. I choose Eucla I guess since it's actually seen a freeze before.

They're both horrible ! I live in the tropics and don't mind ( too much ) heat and humidity.... But trust me.... Wyndham is a special kind of hell....think Fitzroy Crossing-By-Sea. The heat is debilitating and relentless. The town is located on the Cambridge Gulf, a deep indent in the Kimberley coastline and far enough away from the Timor Sea to not get the relief from sea breezes. Renowned Australia wide as a brutal climate. Nice in the cooler dry season months.....but historically temps have maxed at close to or exceeded 100f ( 37.8c ) every month of the year. Youse wanna see the town in all its splendour ? Modern day Aussie Western genera TV series Mystery Road was filmed in and around Wyndham.
Eucla ? yep, Beercules has it spot on....

Eucla despite the low rainfall. 27 Β°C lows are a bit to much.

Eucla. Wyndham is just too unpleasant

Eucla, but both are yuck. At least there is more seasonal (even if minimal) change there, instead of constant humid heat.

Both are great, but I'll go with Wyndham for being warmer, wetter and presumably having much more storm activity. It does have a nasty combination of heat and humidity in summer, but it seems to err more on the side of dry heat for most of the year. But if I hadn't already lived in Bangkok for several years I would easily choose Eucla for its nice, mild temps. That's right, Eucla does seem to have a really bipolar climate in summer. Max of 43 C one day, then 25 C a couple of days later...

chesternz would you say living in Bangkok has made you more accustomed to heat and humidity? Has your dream climate gotten warmer at all over time?

Eucla has almost perfect temperatures. Wyndham = Sophie's version of BA.

Wyndham.
Itβs nearly perfect, probably slightly too hot in summer though. Knock 2-3 degrees of the Jan averages and itβs perfect IMO

chesternz would you say living in Bangkok has made you more accustomed to heat and humidity? Has your dream climate gotten warmer at all over time? Yeah, a little bit, but it's still uncomfortable nine months per year and that will probably never change. A large part of our tolerance for heat / cold is based on genetic factors and also depends on our environment during our early years (sweat glands adapt to whatever climate we're in during the first few years of our lives and thereafter mostly lose this adaptability, IIRC). Also, the kind of weather you might want for a beach vacation or hanging out by the pool can be very different to the weather you actually want to live with day by day. Still, I'd take Bangkok over anywhere in NZ, any day of the week. I think my dream climate before was somewhere like Townsville, but now I prefer something a little warmer, like Darwin.
