Continental vs Oceanic. I'm going with Elko, and rather easily at that. Much more interesting weather and especially temperatures year round. Also much sunnier, likely about 3000-3100 hours a year considering Winnemucca to the west averages 3120 and Salt Lake City averages 3020.

London 100%
Elko too cold in winter; far too dry; huge nonsense diurnals.

Elko
Pretty nice climate overall, just a bit dry but it's not like London is that wet!

London, baby!
Winters are warmer, those record lows are definitely warmer (and pretty freaky in Elko), and every month is wetter. Yes, Elko has better record highs and has months with actually summerlike average high temperatures, but the polar lows knock some points off the grade. Plus, London doesn't get snow in May.

Elko please and thank you. Much more interesting than London even though the summer nights are too cold.
