Lyon, which has warmer summers, and warmer record highs every month of the year. Launceston's winters are better, but it's a little on the dry side and its summer record lows are gross, though I'm surprised by how sunny it is there, would have expected maybe 1800-2000 hours.

Lyon for sure. I once stayed there briefly in August 1999 and it was very hot! Also thunder prone in summer.

Launceston. Lyon has superior summers but Launceston is warmer and sunnier overall. Just looking at Lyon's winter sunshine figures makes me suicidal.
