Brisbane for pretty much the same exact reasons Dunno highlighted, I can't stand dry summers.

Yep, daylight at 4,30am around Xmas Just .. that’s earlier than here on 21 June.. Is it due to farmers? Surely people must be pissed off with the ridiculous sunrise and early sunset times? For some reason they just don't want daylight savings. Moving an hour forward/back every 6 months is just too difficult for them.

I thought it was due to having to form a divide between the north and south, i.e would not suit north qld

Didn’t suit Scotland because they’d get almost 10am sunrises in December.

Both are too warm for me anyway so I'm going for the one with less lightning frequency on average.

I too find both climates too warm, having said that I'm going to go with Brisbane as it's a bit wetter, even if I prefer Perth's precipitation pattern.

Perth by far!
I cannot stand torrential rains and floods. Gross!
(I know Perth can get rainy in the winter, but they don't have such devastating floods!)

Brisbane
Yes Perth's summer average and record highs are better, but Brissie has better winters (no freezes on record) and a less intense dry season.

Perth for the better temps and especially the handsome Mediterranean precip pattern

Perth (B) I guess for better temps and sunshine, but Brisbane is still great with its world-class winters and summer storms (B-)
