Which one of these do you prefer as a NH-February?
A) sunny, dry and high diurnals, mild highs towards the end.
B) cloudy, rainy and rather mild, the end of the month is colder than its start
C) cold snap the first two weeks but without much snow, spring-like in the last week

Definitely A for me.

None of them are good, consistent cold but uninteresting temps and little snow. B is easily the worst with all the rain. I’ll go with A, C gets colder but it’s still not quite interesting and it’s a lengthy stable boring snowless cold snap.

B as it's the mildest. Not rainy at all IMO either certainly a lot less than here and with more drier days.

Definitely B because it's the mildest.

C since it has the coldest weather and most days with snow on the ground. None are particularly good though.

I think C is a really good. Yes snowfall is a bit disappointing but snow is more important in Dec/Jan so I'm fine with sunny and cold and the mild temps at the end are a nice appetizer for spring.

B ≥ A > C
Everyday maximum stayed above freezing.

C of course. But yeah Feb 2012 was disappointingly dry. Are these from Frankfurt?

Yep, "suddenly" everybody likes mild weather in winter. I've always preferred mild weather in winter.

Yep, "suddenly" everybody likes mild weather in winter. Who are you referring to specifically? Most people voted like how I expected them to.

If that was Feb 2021 I would want A. No to cold rain.

A
Warming up towards spring (the proper pattern), and no gay warm fronts.

C is the best. Nice and cold to start but with a pleasantly warm ending.

I'd have to go with C.

B is the best. Unlike the other 2 there's a decent amount of rain.

C of course. But yeah Feb 2012 was disappointingly dry. Are these from Frankfurt? Yes, 2003, 2016 and 2012 at FRA. Respect for recognizing that year!
My goal was to get even results so I picked the imo worst above average February to make the decision harder for all these warm lovers.

Don't really like any of the choices. I guess I'll go with A, but I'd go with C if it had more snow.
