Ile Amsterdam just about because it's milder all year round.

Scilly, very easily. Colder winters.

Scilly, more seasonal, with the novelty of this at 49N:

Ile Amsterdam just about because it's milder all year round. Ditto for me, overall sunshine pretty similar as well albeit less gloomy winters at the southern one.

Scilly, more seasonal, with the novelty of this at 49N: I am sure all those plants and more could grow on Île Amsterdam.

I am sure all those plants and more could grow on Île Amsterdam. That's not the point. Scilly is at 50° N, so it's much more special than at 38° S.

Both suck. Boo... I want at least 5 months of sub freezing nights per year and only 2 months of summer. The summers in both places look nice though.

Scilly for more seasonality

Scilly Islands for more interesting weather, (relatively) pronounced seasons and the possibility of subfreezing temperatures and snow in winter. Both climates are boring but Scilly is slightly less boring than Ile Amsterdam.

Île Amsterdam for being wetter. As a matter of a fact if it's amount of rain was doubled it would be an A climate.

Scilly for at least having a chance of frost and snow in the winter, and more seasonality. Both climates are horrendous though.
