I think this would be close to the best possible climate that is considered tropical per Koppen. Winter is very cloudy and has frequent fog, mist, and drizzle so it would feel like a genuine cool season. Occasional cold fronts come through, bringing sunny, cool days with cold nights. Spring warms up gradually and is a generally dry, pleasant season with the occasional heat wave or thunderstorm later in the season. Summer is cooler than I would normally want but as this climate is warm year round I’d have less interest in hot summers. There are frequent thunderstorms and occasional short lived heat spikes that send temps sounding into the 100s. Fall is the driest time of year with low humidity and comfortable temps. Late fall becomes cloudy and the main form of precipitation changes from thunderstorms to drizzle as the season progresses. The coldest day in a normal year would be like 50/30 f and the hottest like 107/72 f. Average is 50-55 thunderstorms a year. I would give this a D-.

Summers are pretty good, but winters are non-existent and far too dry. Overall boring as fuck.
Nice thread idea! 👍🏻

C. Average temps overall are ok, but average low not dropping below 50 F in winter holds it back a letter grade.

Very good but despite barely making the tropical threshold, the cold snaps are too severe and it's too gloomy in the winter. Lowering the standard deviation in winter and doubling the sunshine amount in the lowest months would increase the grade to A-

That's an 'E' for taking/using the word 'tropical' in vain..... no, nein, non, ei, ochi, nyet. 番号, 没有, nïl, tidak......| Not wet enough, too cold ( extremes ) too hot ( extremes ) Some mid latitude ( and at slight modest altitude so gets more rain than normal perhaps ) semi arid climate... yeah ? nah ?

Not tropical at all. Just further proof that Koppen drank 3 bottles of vodka per day.
C- as the temps are not bad and the 50 odd storms per year. A 3-4C addition to summer would be a dramatic enhancement, possibly up to A status.

B. It's a very nice climate - I'd say it's more of a subtropical dry-winter climate in the larger sense. It could do with sunnier winters, but otherwise temps are ideal all year round.

Nice idea of a thread! I give it a B-, summers are decent, but as OP mentioned, I'd be less interested in hot summers if it's going to be warm all-year round – it could do with sunnier winters as well.

D-
Pluses: winters are pleasant enough while having the potential to get cold occasionally, thunderstorms, and there’s a noticeable summer rainfall peak.
Minuses: lack of defined four seasons, most of the year is boring, summer maxes a tad too high (but still okay compared to Miami etc).

I'm going with C+. I'm not as endeared with tropical climates as I used to and the winter in particular is too dry.

E-; looks like Miami but with about 5 - 10 F taken off the temperature (depending on season) and less rainfall. Good for being tropical but still a very bad climate.

A bit boring, nice winters but would like the rest of the year to be warmer and more sun.

I rate this subtropical climate a C. Winter extreme lows, low sun hours, extreme highs are all negatives.

B. It's not tropical, but it's still a quality climate. Average temps and record highs are both very good. Record lows could stand to be raised a fair amount throughout the year, though, and I'd make the summer a bit warmer as well. Those are also very cloudy, drizzly winters for that kind of precipitation; I understand and like the reasoning behind them, but I think it would get old after a while. Also interesting that the lowest average low is in October.

Not F because: You somehow got "minuscule seasonality" in there, and its livable albeit barely for me.

Grade E. Would rather have 23~25°C average high / 13~15°C average low year-round without having a risk of intense heatwave >40°C.
