Which climate would you rather choose. Highly Variable Amarillo TX: Relatively Stable Norfolk, VA: I choose Amarillo. Less summer humidity, and more winter snow.

This is a tough choice. On one hand, Amarillo has better temperatures in the warm season, and more sunshine. On the other hand, Norfolk has milder winters, and warmer lows all around. I'll go with Amarillo for the more sunshine, and being drier.

Norfolk for sure, I prefer it in almost every way over Amarillo.

Notice how Amarillo has a December high lower than January. Pretty normal pattern from the High Plains on westward.

Norfolk VA, for the warmer winters and humid summers.
Norfolk, VA is also at Plant Hardiness 8A vs Amarillo at 7A.

Amarillo has quite an interesting temperature the next few nights. Could go down to -10 F.

Definitely Amarillo. It's actually a pretty decent climate. Sunshine hours seem unrealistically high though, but I'm not that familiar with the area.

Amarillo more interesting climate and seems like it would get much colder (snowier) in winter.

Amarillo, easily. More heat, more cold, more snow, more sunshine, drier summers, superior storm quality, better in almost every way.
