Which Climate do you think is more preferable, Beirut or Perth: Beirut: Perth: I'm Going with Beirut. Perth gets some truly insane heat waves.

Perffff. Not as arid or as humid in summer ironically, with better record highs to boot.

Other than the record highs, both just about pin up post card Mediterranean climes....oh, hang on, one IS in the Mediterranean ! And Perth looks as arid as buggery by April ( before the winter rains commence ). The whole place is built on one giant sand dune, so not a great deal of moisture retention in the soil.

Perth, in the blink of an eye. Colder winters with proper frontal activity, and more heat in summer.
Finally a climate battle from you that's actually creativeโฆI also like that you've changed your profile picture.

Finally a climate battle from you that's actually creativeโฆI also like that you've changed your profile picture. Well, there are lots of climate battle groups I have in mind. Some may suit your likes and others may not. I am also glad to find a pic that met the size requirements for this forum, doesn't look like crap, or show my face. Given my screen name, it had to have snow.

Despite higher chances of intense heat, gonna vote Perth for drier conditions.

Beirut although it's very close. Due to more humid and warmer nights in summer.

Both are amazing climates, but Perth wins it for having true dry heat, better diurnal ranges, and less seasonal lag.

Both are amazing climates, but Perth wins it for having true dry heat, better diurnal ranges, and less seasonal lag. I guess the figures don't really show it, but I've always thought Perth is somewhat slow to warm up/dry up after the winter months. The term 'Indian Summer' also applies to Perth whereby the heat of summer often extends into April.
