This is a battle of the two extreme points in the continental 48 states of the United States (known as the "Lower 48"). First up is Key West, FL at 24.4 N. At a near-tropical latitude yet has a full-blown tropical climate. Key West: Second up is Northwest Angle, MN at 49.3 N; nearly 25 degrees further north than Key West. Northwest Angle doesn't have climate data on its own, so I'm using the data from a nearby city called Warroad, MN. As you can see, the "average mean minimum" tab is obvious horseshit, so you can just skip over that. This highlights the variety of climates that exists in the US. I choose Warroad quite easily though as Key West is a boring hellhole of a climate.

Very begrudgingly, Warroad (Northernmost). Actually has weather and seasons.

Hmmmmmm, I must be missing something. The data looks exactly the same to me, and the WRCC site uses 1901-2014 averages... EDIT: Never mind. Saw the 1981-2010 tab on the left. Lol.

Key West. Way hotter then I like but at least it's a humid heat, not the dry extreme cold of the other climate.

Key West. Not even a contest. Of course I'm going to pick the warm, pleasant one over the one that's humid continental, almost subarctic.

Key West. It never really gets hot and is mostly comfortable. The other one has 6 months of icy hell.

Warroad is essentially Saskatoon with a slightly warmer summer/fall and slightly cooler spring. Far from ideal due to the overly long and cold winters, but still gets my pick as it's a decent climate otherwise.
Key West is just too hot, sunny, and monotonous for my liking. I almost always prefer continental climates over tropical ones.

Any place ya cant walk around in bare feet 12 months of the year is simply a no! Key West does need to be wetter, but.....

Warroad. It's too cold but is much closer to ideal than Key West.
Btw even accounting for the US sunshine discrepancy, I didn't expect Key West to be that sunny. Makes sens though being in the middle of the sea so much less convection than places on the Dick.

Warroad easily, even though it's too cold and dry in the winter.

Warroad but I don't mind vacationing to Key West between December to February.
