Does anyone here play CIV? just got it for Nintendo switch a couple weeks ago. Couldn’t get into the game at first, but now I’ve been playing nonstop for the past few days

I've got it on Switch. I enjoyed Civ V a bit more, although my favourite was actually Civilization Revolution on the Xbox 360, due to the faster pace. I like how you've used the British spelling btw

I like how you've used the British spelling btw Not intentionally, that’s for sure! Misspelling How is Civ Revolution different from the regular version? Which empire did you usually play as? This round I’m having a lot of success as Montezuma

This round I’m having a lot of success as Montezuma I'd play as anyone, like to get some different flavours. I used to like playing as Rome for the novelty of the Romans making it to the moon or inventing the nuke. Civ Rev was a more streamlined version, games lasted a few hours rather than a few days. Made it more accessible as a game to play against others online. Civ VI uses the same art design as Civ Rev.

I didn't like the army mechanics in V and when VI rolled out my old computer couldn't run it.
I bought the Civ VI base version on the Steam winter sale so I have it. Just haven't tried it yet lol.

I don't know if it's better to build helicopters/soldiers, or better upgrade my Military barracks. And how tf do I make an army? I'm impressed by the sheer amount of empires they have!

CIV Tsar Peter actually speaks Russian fluently, and with a native Russian accent which is great to see. Hate how 99% of Russian in video games is basically "NIKOLAI GET ON HELICOPTER!!!"

Playing as the Inca now. Very fun civilization because they can actually utilize the mountains
Bought the big expansion as it was on sale, and it has tons of fun new civs to play with. Also they have governors and natural disasters now which are pretty awesome

Never played it. I feel like I'd waste a lot of time if I played it.

Never played it. I feel like I'd waste a lot of time if I played it. You're not wrong, you can lose any entire day without knowing it. Huge time sink.

I've played the Civ games a good bit, including Civ VI. I enjoy the early/mid game the most and find that the late game can get tedious, at least on Civ VI. I've usually gone for space or culture victory.

I played CIV III a lot as a teenager. One day I started playing in the morning and the next time I looked out of the window it was dark already... my brain felt like mush afterwards.
