These climates are very close to each other, but couldn't be more different. Sierra Blanca, New Mexico is located at over 10,000 ft near Sierra Blanca Peak, the highest point in southern NM. Sierra Blanca, Texas is 150 miles to the south at only 4,500 ft. Sierra Blanca, TX: Sierra Blanca, NM:

The NM one for me, as it will be much snowier. Summers aren't that good but it's not much cooler than what I have now.

Sierra Blanca, New Mexico for higher precipitation and snowfall totals. Those summers are ghastly though.

Definitely Sierra Blanca, TX for being much warmer year-round.

New Mexico. It's too cool in the summer for my liking but at least those temperatures are perfectly comfortable and livable. The Texas one is just way too hot in the summer for me.

New Mexico. Summer temps are awful but at least it has tons of thunderstorms.
