Crazy Cumunolimbus around Auckland today. 600 lightning strikes in my area between 12-2pm and 5cm of hail. Started off and finished with clear skies. Nice

Interestingly, the day began with a dew point at -3.5C and is now hovering between a dew point of 18C and 19C. This is due to hot NE winds then an afternoon seabreeze from the NW which is a more humid breeze.

Average high has finally dropped to 20 C after a warmer start to the month. A nondescript month so far - no 30C+ temperatures here, that's for flippin sure. Nothing over 23C, in fact. Here's a spring photo, showing the valley where I live. Really? Do you usually get 30C+ temperatures in November? Nice . I was staying in that valley around last Christmas.

Well Hobart's gonna have an excellent run in the next few days, better than they'd usually get in the middle if Summer. I hope they enjoy it!

I might just see my first 20° C high in the next week. This week was all 11°-14° C highs and nothing but drizzle and fog, with one thunderstorm.
