Yankees managed to blow a 4-0 lead and lose to the Red Sox today. They've had a rather erratic season.

Anthony Rizzo joined the Yankees 2 days ago, and has hit 2 of the longest homeruns I've seen in Miami. Don't think the Yankees would've won any of the last two games without him

Mets traded for infielder Javier Báez who hit an important 2-run homer in his debut, in a 5-4 Mets win!

Yankees traded for Joey Gallo and Anthony Rizzo last week. So far Anthony Rizzo hit three homeruns and became the first ever Yankee to start his pinstripe career with 6 games in a row with RBI. And Joey Gallo hit a dramatic three-run homerun today to win the game for the Yankees
Not bad

Yankees up to 14-6 since the All-Star Break. Amazing, especially since all of our best hitters are still underperforming

Phillies now in 1st place in the NL East. Bryce Harper came up big with a 2-run HR in the 8th. The Mets have really been faltering as of late, while the Phillies have picked it up. Mets 3-7 in their last 10 games, Phillies 7-3. NL East is kind of a weak division this year. Btw, the Brewers aren't getting enough press. They're 66-44 and 8-2 in their last ten games. They're a really underrated team, as are the Reds. Of course, Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers and Giants get 97% of the coverage by baseball media. Bryce Harper has been red hot, slashing .365/.477/.692 in his last 30 games, overall line for the season is .308/.415/.568. Having a really solid year.

Yeah, the Phillies are on a winning streak; it's the 6th consecutive win. Huge series here - and huge win, if they can keep it up.

Yup, we’re near the bottom of the pack in runs per game and batting average with RISP. With this lineup we should be able to pick up the hitting.

Yeah Bryce Harper is having his best year since 2015 probably. Surprisingly, his OPS is only slightly higher than it was in 2020

Surprisingly, his OPS is only slightly higher than it was in 2020 He had a much higher walk rate last year (49 walks in 250 plate appearances), this year he has 56 walks in about 375 plate appearance. Seems he's more aggressive this year or is more protected in the lineup. I like Bryce Harper and don't really get the criticism towards him. I always pull for him to have a great year.

Hopefully they can pick up the slack a bit, but it seems like a Mets thing to do to falter during the pennant race.

Phillies did it again! 7 in a row. A little shaky there at the end, but Kennedy got it done.

Phillies now in 1st place in the NL East. Bryce Harper came up big with a 2-run HR in the 8th. Fuck you and fuck all Phillies fans. Go Brewers . They can't hit but you can't lose if the other team never scores a run. The Brewers have a team batting average of .227, 3rd from the bottom. But their opponents are batting .212 which is lowest in the league. 212 is something out of the dead ball era, except there's too many home runs for that era.
Best scoring differential in the MLB (runs scored minus runs allowed)
1) Dodgers (65-45) +163 2) Astros (66-45) +151
3) Giants (69-41) +126 4) Blue Jays (59-50) +122 5) White Sox (65-46) +115 6) Rays (66-44) +109
The Dodgers are in 2nd place in their division and somehow the Blue Jays are 4th??
The best record for someone with a negative differential is the Phillies. They are -8 but their record is 58-53 and they are leading the division.

Blue Jays are 4th in MLB in run-differential, but also 4th in their own division. Ridiculously unlucky team. Next year I think they are going to be much scarier

They are near the top of the league in offense. A few games go their way, maybe the pitching improves, and they're in first place.
