Climate-Data.org is the source. Enough said.
Climate is a D. Comfortable but way too wet.

My cousin worked there in the 2000's.....reckoned it was shit !....rained every day at 11.000', some sleet and rare snow at the pit ( 14,000') He was/is a keen fisherman, and there were rainbow and brown trout stocked in some of the high altitude impoundments. He said he could catch trout in the morning and barramundi on the lowlands in the evenings after work.

C+. Mild temps, but way too much rain and barely any variation.

D. Comfortable temperatures even though they're far too monotonous for my liking, but of course the extreme precipitation ruins it.

The data for that climate chart definitely wasn't taken at 11,000 ft (~3600 m), I can tell you that.

The mining company records climate data at the mill and the pit, would be good to be able to access the data.

How many thunderstorms do they receive about in a year? My answer varies from B to D depends on the count.
