Inspired by tommyFL's thread (though I know he'll abhor the climate selection), here are my favorite climates from each continent. North America (incl. Caribbean): Santiago, Dominican Republic South America: Asuncion, Paraguay Europe: Messina, Italy Africa: Ho, Ghana Asia: Minami Tori Shima, Japan Australia: Rockhampton, Australia For me it's a tough choice, but I think I might actually go with Asuncion even despite the freezing record lows, as it has some seasonal variation and I have heard that part of the world gets some epic storms.

Messina is the least trash option

Messina and Rockhampton are very close. Messina's superior temps outweigh the backwards precip pattern in the end, though.

Okay, I'm going with Messina for being the most seasonal, but that's closely followed by Rockhampton

Rockhampton is the best one here but it's still a horrendous climate. Was about to choose Asuncion, but the cooler winters of Rockhampton win it for me.

Ho, Ghana... I like the temperature profile year round. It slightly edges out Santiago de los Caballeros, Cuba as best for me.

i would like to experience the double peak rainy season as found in Ho, Ghana. Nor would you need to own a jacket ( same as home )

Ascunsion. Nice temp regime there with decent variety, great summers, and I assume a fuckload of storms.

Hard to pick, I love them all. Toss up between Santiago and Asuncion. The former has better winters for me but the latter looks like it might have more storms.

I think I'll go with Ho. Looks hot and sticky year-round with plenty of rain to keep it green - my kind of place. Although I'd be happy in any of these climates.

Toss up between Ascunsion and Rockhampton with Ascunsion slightly edging the latter out due to better diurnals in winter. Both fantastic A climates.

Nor would you need to own a jacket ( same as home )Assuming I'm moving around outside, I prefer to be jacketless until it gets below about 40'F (4'C) - so I would be fine without a jacket in any of these climates. Being able to wear my preferred clothing year-round without long sleeves or jackets is important for me actually; my dream climate's winters are the coolest possible (for interest plus a break from the heat) that would still allow me to get by comfortably without long sleeves or long pants. My physical cold tolerance is a lot greater than my enjoyment of cold temperatures.

All these climates are too hot and sunny in summer and too warm in winter. Let's rank it: Rockhampton: D+ (has a bit cooler weather in winter, good precipitation pattern) Asuncion: D+ (has a bit cooler weather in winter) Messina: D (best winters, but precipatation pattern is terrible) Minami Tori Sima: D (at least it's hasn't got extreme heatwaves) Ho: D (at least it has cloudy month) Santiago: D (at least it's not desert)
