I'll rank them from worst to best here as well. As you can see, I love having the dry (although not rainless) hot summers and wet, mild winters. I prefer less diurnal variation, but that is hard to find in Mediterranean climates.
#6. Portland, Oregon (Csb) #5. Linares, Chile (Csb) #4. Maputo, Mozambique (Aw) #3. Adelaide, Austrailia (Csa) #2. Ioaninna, Greece (Csa) #1. Astara, Azerbaijan

Astara. Wettest summers of the non-tropical ones.

Maputo is not too bad.....a bit of dry season evening chill to aid a good nights sleep.

Maputo for having the warmest winters of the bunch, and a semi-decent amount of precipitation for the year. Adelaide is good too, though Portland and Linares's summers are, to put it politely, deficient.

Tough between Linares and Ioaninna, but I went with Ioaninna in the end.

It seems we are complete opposites in terms of climates, Metsfan. I doh't like sunny summers. My rank is: Astara: C (a bit too dry and too hot in summer) Portland: C- (wrong precipitation pattern, too cloudy in winter) Linares: C- (too dry in summer, too mild and wet in winter) Maputo: D+ (too hot in summer, way too warm in winter) Adelaide: D+ (too warm and dry in summer, too mild in winter) Ioannina: D (too hot and dry in summer, too cloudy in winter)

Suppose I'll have to go with Portland here. My preference is the Mediterranean precip pattern but I like cold/snowy winters.
Love the hot/dry summers most of these climates offer but Portland seems to have the coldest/more potentially snowy winters out of the bunch even though it's pretty pathetic itself.
