Hey guys, What's the coldest temperature (Air or water) you experienced with your shirt off ? Mine was in a lake in Colorado. The outdoor temp was 80 F, but water temp was just 46 F. I spent only 3 minutes in the water before running back onto land.
Let me know your experiences.

Probably in the 50s, changing my clothes at my dad's cabin in da UP on a night or morning when it's really cold in there. I don't go shirtless much; I'm always at least wearing a T-shirt, and I don't swim so that's why that number might not sound that impressive - but lemme tell you, even being naked or shirtless in indoor temps in the 70s can be quite chilly.

My own recent personal experience contradicts that - there's a lot of subjectivity involved whenever we talk about thermal sensations, and maybe my body is just not made for the cold.

3-4C water, naked. Have told the story before. Wasn't voluntary.

I've done the Polar plunge, water temperature was near 32F (0C). The air temperature that day was in the 30sF as well.
In Montana last year, I jumped out of a hot tub into snow when it was sub freezing as well.

Coldest water I bathed in was 13ยฐC in Nice.
Coldest air temp with only a swim boxer on after a sea bath was 0ยฐC, in Nice too.
Coldest shirtless temp I got no idea, I donโt walk around shirtless in cold so maybe 0ยฐC too.

Probably in the 50s Fahrenheit. I went in a hot tub in about those temperatures once.

-0.4ยฐC(31.3ยฐF) on 26 October 2013. Kept my photo from an old iPod that's how I remember precisely. The reason why I did that was for celebrating an October frost while lived in NC.

Iโve been in an outside jacuzzi at a ski resort when it was probably about -10c outside and I had to run to the jacuzzi. Other than that probably outside in the low-mid teens.. I only go topless if Iโm outside alone in my garden and itโs hot or if Iโm at the sea/pool otherwise.
