I'm surprised this rate the climate has never been done. Des Moines is the capital and largest city in the state of Iowa, and has a four-season continental climate.
I give it an A-. Summer is a little too humid, and winter is a little too cold and dry. It's probably a bit too windy. But overall, Des Moines is a solid continental climate with four seasons and lots of interesting weather including good thunderstorms.

On a Γ§ontinentallity scale thats an A. I'm always surprised at the decent rainfall totals of some US inland cities, hence the agricultural aspects of the mid west....personally I don't do cold at all so a D

A+. Fucking awesome. Perfect temps and adequate rainfall. The only qualm is the lowish snowfall totals due to the dry winters. That's why this is not an A++.

C. Wish winters were colder, longer, cloudier, and snowier.

D+. Nov-Feb is bad but the rest of the year isn't horrible; summers are warm and humid like i like and there is adequate rainfall.

Grade C. Interesting climate in an aspect of the capability to swing such cold to hot spectrum by monthly averages, probably the largest outside of arid climate.

C+. Winters are about 5C too cold and summers about 2C too warm. Precipitation pattern and transitional seasons are alright though.

Winter not cold, snowy, or long enough. Much better than here though.

B+. A bit too warm and wet overall. It gets better storms and is slightly more exciting than here.

C+
Not too dissimilar here in terms of averages temperatures except for slightly colder winters and more prone to the continental extremes. Complaints are that it is dryer and sunnier than I'd like. Good variety though. Des Moines and Iowa in general seems rather underrated.
