1. JG, obviously 2. Ral, January and the record lows are a bit too cold but the summer is better and winter overall doesn't last that long. 3. Metsfan, better precip patterm 4. Gior, much better 5. Tough one. Noodle wins because of the precip pattern. 6. Marcelo, better temps 7. AW. Better summers/precip pattern 8. Nei, more comfy/summers aren't ridiculously wet

1. JG: Milder winters make up for the arid summers 2. Ral: Wetter and more interesting 3. Tommy: Wet summers are better than dry summers 4. Gior: Ariete's winters are too cold 5. Wildcat: Same reason as 3. Also better temperatures 6. Marcelo: Probably my favourite dream climate on here apart from mine 7. Caspase: Better precipitation pattern although both have good temperatures 8. Nei: Cooler (better) temperatures and more reasonable rainfall Lmao, I love how you didn't just comment "Caspase obviously"

The bracket is updated in the OP The 2nd round will end at 3 PM MDT on Thursday 4/29.JG vs. Morningrise< JG: Morningrise: > Ral vs. Cadeau< Ral: Cadeau: > Tommy vs. Metsfan< Tommy: Metsfan: > Ariete vs. Gior< Ariete: Gior: > Wildcat vs. Noodle< Wildcat: Noodle: > Steeler vs. Marcelo
< Steeler: Marcelo: > AW vs. Caspase
< AW: Caspase: > Nei vs. Meteoman
< Nei: Meteoman: > 1. Morningrise, obviously 2. Ral, for better winters 3. Tommy, for not having any summer months with an average low of 70F+ 4. Ariete, no contest
5. Wildcat, for at least having "winters"
6. Steelers, obviously
7. AW, very tough. Had to think hard. AW's has more snow, neither have good winters, prefer Capese's summers though. Tough call
8. Nei, for more variation in temperatures year round, even if not ideal

Anyway this is all over stuff that was already happened and late votes can’t possibly be counted for the rounds coming and I don’t think I can make myself more clear and it’s derailing the thread so I’m done with this argument. You're aware of your misjudgment now and continue to disregarding the actual result instead of correcting it out. I wasn't just mean to talk from my point of view to take advantage. On the contrary, I considered Trolik's position took the disadvantage due to unexpectedly ended in advance since more voters came for him later as well. However, you decided to resume the count but this time you didn't inform us about changing the plan, which makes it even more confusing to understand your purpose and diminishing all fairness. There's nothing more to say if you're unwilling to keep the process impartial.

Morningrise - JG's is pretty decent, but Morningrise's climate has the advantage in all the seasons except summer.
Ral - This was a tough one, though.
Metsfan - I like the summers a lot more for their dryness.
Ariete
Wildcat - Close call. I almost picked Noodle's because Wildcat's has only five snowy days, and Noodle's summers are a lot drier. So I would pick Noodle's summers in a heartbeat, but Wildcat's climate is better in winter, spring, and fall.
Steeler
AW
Nei

JG vs Morningrise: JG in a landslide for being Mediterranean and with decent temps too, close to my dream climate! Ral vs Cadeau: Cadeau in the closest battle yet, despite its mild summers, Ral's records lows and summer rain are too much. Tommy vs Metsfan: Metsfan. It's my dream climate. Vote for the Mediterranean paradise! Ariete vs Gior: Gior in a landslide for good temps year round and little to no snow.
Wildcat vs Noodle: Noodle easily, another Mediterranean paradise, although all the temps are pretty much 10 degrees Fahrenheit too hot. Steeler vs Marcelo: Marcelo by far for having less snow and generally comfortable temps. Looks like DC but with cooler, wetter summers. Angler vs Caspase: Angler despite the increased snow due to plenty of thaws, better temps, and drier summers. Nei vs Meteoman: Nei in a landslide due to the good temps and drier summers.

rozenn can I download it? I'm trying to calculate who I should pick to make my climate win. Here it is. FWIW it just tells you if a vote is aligned with someone's preferences, bar any subjective bias, so I'm not sure how it can help you with your Machiavellian strategy. And be aware that it's a tedious process so best used when suspicions are strong: you have to enter the 3 climate boxes manually as they haven't embedded a weatherbox scan yet. I've suggested they do so for convenience. Download the Strategic-o-Meter now. Free 1-month trial!I didn't know that was a real thing you made. Lol. That confirms my suspicions. No matter what I choose, my climate won't win.

Next tournament, dream climates should be sent in via private messages, and then be assigned an anonymous code or number during the battles. That way there'd hopefully be less personal bias. This is a good idea, but it would take work. Someone should put all the wiki boxes in the same general format and delete the name so it's not obvious (Speagles for example). More work than I'm willing to do but it's an idea for the next tournament.

Could just edit the image in paint and cover the name, or crop the image to exclude the name

Could just edit the image in paint and cover the name, or crop the image to exclude the name My vote was NOT an Ad-homieum vote. I truly believe what I said about the climate you submitted, and because of how tij won last time I didn't vote for it. I don't have anything against you Baba, I just don't like the idea of someone winning that way. Clearly my climate was not altered to pander to the audience and perception of people on this forum, I expected the same out of everyone that submitted a climate.

You wouldn't have had those opinions of the climate if it weren't for the fact that I was the one who posted it. Your belief that mine was altered to pander to anyone but myself is ultimately nothing other than false. Your biases led you to false conclusions, and these false conclusions affected your decision. Either way, my comment wasn't calling anyone out in particular. I thought I made it clear I think pretty much everyone is affected in some way or another by who made the dream climates. It isn't just a whine about my own personal experience. I just think that it would be more fair to everyone if the battles were just "Climate 1 vs Climate 2".

Also, a counter in which you have yet to provide any evidence of your innocence in this and blaming the accuser leads people to believe you have nothing to actually refute.

What? That's not how it works. "Ulterior motives" isn't something you can prove or disprove like that. You can suspect someone of having it, and they can deny it, and then you can either choose to believe or not believe, but you can never prove either thesis. There literally nothing more that needs to be said about my own preferences and intentions by myself, other than what they are. Let's take an exaggerated example so you might understand what I'm talking about. Let's say I have evidence that you liked Linkin Park 10 years ago. If I use that evidence to "prove" you like Linkin Park today, and then ask you to disprove it, what else is there for you to do other than simply say "I liked Linkin Park 10 years ago, I don't anymore". There's no way to prove you don't like Linkin Park. I've explained my preferences in a way that should make it clear that it isn't obvious that my dream climate is artificial. I understand choosing not to believe me, but deluding yourself there's proof, that you know without a doubt that I'm lying, is just wrong and stupid. It doesn't mean you're a stupid person, but you're being idiotic in your conviction about this particular matter. Just like it isn't stupid to be an atheist or theist, but if you delude yourself into thinking you have proof that there is, or isn't a god, then you're being stupid. Also, re: blaming the accuser; I feel like I've been very clear about understanding why one might believe I have ulterior motives, but that it's just not true. And that believing I have ulterior motives isn't stupid, just wrong. That what's stupid is being convinced there's irrefutable proof when I know for a fact that it's false. If you get falsely accused of rape, are you not going to blame the accusor for doing so?

Jesus fuck, you guys take dream climates far too seriously. At the end of the day, who gives a fuck? All this arguing is silly as shit. Y'all just need to hit the blunt/bottle and chill. None of this matters at the end of the day.

Anyways.....Round 2: 1.) JG vs Morningrise - Morningrise, and quite easily. Much better temps, and better precipitation pattern. 2.) Ral vs. Cadeau - Ral; Much more interesting and variable climate, Cadeau's is too oceanic for my tastes. 3.) Tommy vs. Metsfan - Tommy; Better temps, far superior precipitation pattern. Mediterranean climates 4.) Ariete vs. Gior - Ariete; and quite easily as well. Ariete's is a nice 4-season climate, Gior's is too moderated and the nice variability is in the wrong season (summer). 5.) Wildcat vs. Noodle - Wildcat; Much better temperatures and precipitation pattern, no contest. 6.) Steeler vs. Marcelo - Steeler; This one was a bit tougher than the other ones, had to choose between more rain and more interesting temperatures and higher snowfall, went with more interesting temps and snowfall. 7.) AW vs. Caspase - AW; Much higher snowfall and higher continentality in AW's climate wins it for me. 8.) Nei vs. Meteoman - Meteoman; Despite the nicer winters in Nei's climate, Meteoman's climate just seems much more fun and interesting. Looks like a North FL climate but with cooler summers.

1) JG 2) Cadeau 3) Tommy 4) Ariete 5) Wildcat 6) Marcelo 7) Caspase 8) Nei
Very tight matchups except Tommy vs Metsfan (similarly good temps but better precipitation pattern for Tommy) and Wildcat vs Noodle (Noodle just too dry in the summer and too warm overall).
