Playing Spooderman 2 currently. Overall great game, though I'm not used to fast-paced games like this. I feel like I need to take a break every couple hours or so

I've been playing the Resident Evil 2 remake. As far as remakes go, it's one of the best. It's not just a graphical upgrade, it completely reinvents the game whilst staying true to the spirit of the original. I've downloaded the original 1998 soundtrack DLC to go with it. It makes the game feel like an episode of the X-Files

After 3 years of patches and a recently released DLC that's had rave reviews, now seemed like a good time to finally to jump into Cyberpunk 2077.

Downloaded Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It was on sale and i'd already seen videos by various prominent YouTubers saying it's their favourite game. I've found it interesting so far. It's a very immersive RPG set in 1403 Bohemia. Instead of the usual shtick of playing as a god among men, you play as an incompetent idiot who has to work hard just to be okay at various skills. I've found the story engaging too. Definitely the most realistic game of this kind I've played. Although I could see it being too realistic for most, I think any fans of medieval history would enjoy it.

Played a bit of Hellblade 2. The game itself is something of an acquired taste, more like an interactive movie than a video game. But critics have been almost universal in agreeing that it's a strong contender for the best looking video game ever made. A huge step forward for graphics.

19th century: yellow Australia policy. But at least the Abos start to be eradicated. Not even 0.1% of the population.

Got to respect how much they've stood by this game. After 8 years of regular free updates it's the only game I know of that's gone from overwhelmingly negative to very positive on Steam.

lol what a shit game. Not that I was planning on playing it but this is just embarrasing Ubisoft's stock value has plummeted in recent years and they're in real financial trouble. Not surprising, all they've done in the last 10 years is rerelease the same, mediocre, reskinned open world game. Another formerly great developer ruined by being publicly listed. It hands over too much creative control to the wrong people. CEOs and boardroom suits don't care about video games and certainly have no idea what it takes to make a good game.
