Having driven championships in Grand Prix 4 to the end of my patience and urging something new, I'm thinking of doing an Excel-based championship season off rFactor 1 hour-races on the following tracks not on the F1 calendar during my living memory: UAE: Dubai Australia: Surfers' Paradise (city) New Zealand: Manfeild China: Zhuhai Japan: Okayama France: Paul Ricard Great Britain: Brands Hatch Sweden: Anderstorp Norway: Mo i Rana Czech Republic: Brno Poland: Kielce Italy: Misano Canada: Toronto (city) Holland: Assen (2005) Germany: Oschersleben Spain: Valencia (MotoGP course) Portugal: Estoril South Africa: Kyalami Argentina: Buenos Aires USA: Daytona (roval) What does Mr Candle think of that calendar? (Assuming it has to be tracks realistically safe) Mörön

Mo i Rana is such a cool track. I won an online league race there in a Panoz LMP900 on a 1 stop strategy (back in 2008 or so). That's a really good schedule except for Dubai, Buenos Aires, and Daytona. Okayama and Estoril are awesome tracks as well.

I've got a decent roster of tracks in the game, but it's hard to find some non-F1 tracks in certain countries That being said, have you driven Dubai? It's actually a good track, some blind corners where you break while turning. I only have longer tracks in Buenos Aires around the lake, so no 1990's F1 GP circuit; rather Monza-like speeds on the older layouts! I could potentially find another US track than Daytona, I have a few; do you have any suggestions? Going to Laguna Seca for some California love perhaps? The problem with Sonoma (my favourite road course in the US) is that the game starts from the pits as if it was a NASCAR race and then the F1 cars knock their front wings off trying to get to the track... What about the streets of Vegas or Detroit? Long Beach (1979) is another option and I could also use either Dover or Gateway since the AI is competitive on those ovals Potentially, I could go all road-course instead of having street circuits, adding Mosport, Watkins Glen and Phillip Island. I think that's rather plausible actually Mosport-Watkins doubleheader around July 4!

The older Buenos Aires is better than the 90s. I don't recommend the street tracks as the AI is usually pretty bad but Detroit is probably the best. What about Road America (aka Elkhart Lake) ?

Losail is a decent track in my opinion Here's onboard from Dubai:
Quite a demanding track in my opinion, especially under braking. The AI is sick around Road America for some reason, so I think I'ma go with Watkins Glen By the way; what do you think of my schedule for the US-Canadian "Indy F1 Car Series"? Daytona (night) Saint Petersburg (city) Texas (night) Surfers' Paradise (city) Long Beach Las Vegas (city) Indianapolis Milwaukee Detroit (city) Darlington (night) Gateway (night) Montréal Toronto (city) Mosport Mont-Tremblant Chase for the Formula 1 Cup: Round 1: Iowa (night) Rockingham (UK) Mid-Ohio Round 2: Watkins Glen Dover Phoenix (night) Round 3: Laguna Seca Charlotte (night) Birmingham Championship Round: Daytona (road couse; night) I was tempted to throw Monza's oval in but that couldn't be used in real life, so Thoughts on that NASCAR-esque format?

I would highly recommend the Yakuza series. It's basically like an interactive Japanese movie.

I like ovals but you've got too many NASCAR ones in there. No Motegi or Trenton or Eurospeedway or Rio de Janeiro? Not even Pocono?! Trois-Rivières is a good track as well. It was one of the first 3rd party tracks released for rF back in the day.

Personally i think total war hasnt been good since empire or even medieval 2. They feel too arcadey and cheap. Medieval 2 total war is one of my favourite games of all time.

Shogun II was the last good one. They went full with Rome II and haven't looked back . The original Rome TW is easily among my Top 5 games .

The games of my childhood and youth: Civilization III SimCity 4 Battle for Middlearth 2 Age of Empires 1 and 2 GTA 3 GTA Liberty City Stories GTA San Andreas FIFA 07 Pokemon Blue Edition Gothic 2 Nowadays I don't play videogames anymore, just sometimes GTA when I'm really bored. I played SimCity 4 a lot in 6th grade, and have played it occasionally ever since. Same with Civilization IV starting in 7th grade. I've played Civ3 a few times but never really got into it. I did play Civ5 with friends some but never got into Civ6. I played AoE2 (I think it was 2) once at a LAN party, and it was pretty fun.
Now I mostly play Europa Universalis IV, if I have the time to game at all. I played Mario Kart Wii in middle school a lot, but I sold my Wii a few years ago.

Went back to an old save file of spyro 1 to hype myself out for the remake coming out. Beat some hard levels like tree tops and haunted towers, massive pains in the ass but very rewarding when you beat them

Not a fan of remakes. The market is saturated with remakes and sequels, lazy.

Some can be alright. Don't agree with ridiculous ones like "the last of us" but old ps1 games can be good, with new graphics and mechanics

Enjoyed this video about a hoax arcade game that's been an internet legend for quite some time.
