I created these two fictional climates on a fictional Earth-like planet where the temperature gradient between the equator and the poles is larger. On this Earth, the average annual temperature at the equator is ~35°C, while the average annual temperature at the South Pole is around -70°C. I wanted to make the tropics and polar zones just hot/cold enough to be beyond the threshold of long-term human survival. These climates are definitely hot enough to prevent pre-industrial human settlement. It's also worth pointing out that both climates are located on a very large continent that experiences Pangaea-esque monsoons from the tropics to the subpolar (austral) zone. Fictional Climate #1: "Desert Hell" (latitude 23° S, within 200 m sea level) Would be classified as a very dry Hot Semi-arid cliamte (BSh) under Köppen, but is a wet Tropical Desert (extreme AR.A) climate under my systemFictional Climate #2: "Savannah Hell" (latitude 17° S, within 200 m of sea level) Would be classified as a drier Tropical Monsoon climate (Am) under Köppen, but is a wet Tropical Steppe (extreme AZ.A) climate under my systemAttachments:

The first one. I thought it would have cooler summers, but it has the same average temp and humidity as the wetter place. It does have cooler "winters" than the second climate so I still prefer it. If you took the record lows of these places and turned them into average highs then you'd have a decent climate.
I rate both an F since I think they could be humid enough to kill you and the coldest months are still too hot for me.

The desert one. I'd rather volunteer myself and live on the moon.

Both climates have rediculous (and lethal) dew points, as Crunch41 mentioned earlier, but I voted "Desert Hell" for what it's worth.

Both climates have rediculous (and lethal) dew points, as Crunch41 mentioned earlier, but I voted "Desert Hell" for what it's worth. Both climates have average dewpoints of 88-89 F during the wet season, which isn't technically lethal (and has been recorded in the Continental US). But yeah, if it's that humid AND over 100 F 360ish days of the year it'll probably kill you without 24 hour indoor AC.

Won't kill me without 24 hour AC due to the herperiffic unrealism.

Desert Hell easily. I love heat but the tropical climate is just way too over the top.

Reviving this dead thread... Both climates get Fs, as they are dangerous to human survival during their summers. A 37.2ºC (99ºF) temperature with 73% humidity is a 32.9ºC wet-bulb temperature, which is very dangerous and risks many heat-related deaths. The desert hell earns an F+, only saved by the good sunshine and cool winter nights; so it earns my vote. Heck, the savannah hell still has a F, as the winter nights allow for some hot-weather activities.
