Second one is not subtropical. First one for me obviously. Neither has a hottest month >22 C, and both have all 12 months above >10 C. First one is on the cooler side of subtropical in my book.

Neither is subtropical as neither one has an acceptably warm summer - though the first climate is much better. These are Mediterranean, not subtropical... They're both mild-summer Mediterranean, or to use the Koppen letters, Csb - while the term "subtropical" is reserved for the Cfa, Csa, and Cwa climates.

I will go with the consensus, obviously. That warm subtropical climate is an easy B+ for me, only lowered by its lack of summer precipitation and slightly high humidity. The temperatures are idyllic, and the sunshine is wonderful IMO
