^^ Yep, a bit more rain would be nice, but the dual rainy seasons are an interesting feature of the climate.

Accra - nice temps (despite lack of variety) and probably a decent amount of thunder. A bit on the cloudy side but not too bad. Gao is also interesting - much more seasonality than Accra and seems to be more of a dry heat. But ultimately Gao is just too dry.
