Easy choice for me at least... Using the Harbour station since that is more representative than the airport: Cranbrook is in the same valley as Kalispell, MT. Here's a video of a recent winter in Cranbrook... (turn sound off if you don't want to get annoyed)

Vancouver for warmer winters and less snow.

Vancouver. Better in every way except for sunshine and summer temps.

Kind of an unfair battle IMO since Vancouver is much warmer... but I still choose Cranbrook. There's nothing I hate more than cold rain and Vancouver seems to have a lot of it. Notice how they only have 9-10 snow days per year but a huge amount of rain. Plus Cranbrook has better summers even if the nights are cooler. Looking at the record highs and sunshine hours they seem to have a much better chance of nice summer days than Vancouver.

Cranbrook is the lesser of the two evils; More sun, warmer summers and much drier. Wouldn't like its snowy winters though, but oh well...

I'm voting Vancouver, even despite Cranbrook having better summer record highs and more sunshine. Vancouver doesn't get nearly as cold in winter, especially when we're talking records, and really both climates have crummers anyway. They're both crap, eh?

Vancouver despite the inferior summers. Cranbrook is far too cold and snowy, while Vancouver has good winters.
